PURPOSE:

The primary purpose of the GMGSO is to promote and support competitive gymnastics for youth. We would like to help defray costs for the travel expenses of our team and coaches as they travel to meets and competitions with the gymnasts in Levels 4 – 10, TOPs, and Elite. These travel expenses also include coaches’ travel to all regional and national meets to which any member of Gold Medal Gymnastics qualifies to attend.

GMGSO participates in team building activities such as: big sister-little sister, sleepovers, holiday parties, family picnics, pool parties, and a year-end banquet with awards. GMGSO strives to be regularly involved in community activities such as: donating time to retirement homes, food banks, Special Olympics, and adopt-a-family for the holidays.

GMGSO is responsible for collecting all annual membership dues.  Should funds become available, it will pay for coaches’ certification renewals, and professional membership fees.

GMGSO is responsible for holding any fundraising activities necessary to cover its annual budget. Currently we have fundraising events that are scheduled throughout the year, as well as some ongoing programs such as our Fry’s Community Rewards program. We welcome any new ideas and suggestions from our team families to raise funds.
